Do you really want Mashiach now?

Do you really want Mashiach Now? Many people have that cry in their lips, but do not mean it. In the Amida which is a set of prayers composed by eighteen different prayers, we find at the end of it a prayer asking for Mashiach to come, to reveal Himself, and to bring Yeshuah / Salvation to our people, to our lives, to bring true Shelema (peace) to us and for all Israel His people. The text says: “May the Shoot of David blossom and flourish, and let the light of Yeshuah / Salvation shine forth according to Your word, for we await Your Yeshuah all every day. We praise You, O HaShem, who causes the light of Yeshuah to come.” With that prayer in mind, we should not be affraid at all to ask God to reveal the Holy Mashiach to us, HaShem is waiting for us [...]

A Jewish Message for Mankind

A Jewish Message for Mankind

Our Rabbi, Maran Yeshua is Jewish. This obvious reality has too often been obscured by both Christian and Jewish attitudes polarized by prejudice, hatred, and fear. There is a growing number of Jewish people who, like Rabbi Lichtenstein, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, have been prompted, for one reason or another, to investigate seriously what the Good News ...

Who needs an idol?

Who needs an idol?

What is Avoda Zara (Idol worship)? Idol worship is not just a plastic Mary on the dashboard of a taxi in Mexico city.  Idol worship is coming into the presence of a holy God on your own terms, not on God’s terms. Doing what you want because your god loves you and changes His standards as you go along.  Idol worship is placing your f ...

The Order of Things – Torah Life

The Order of Things - Torah Life

When we study Torah we should be very careful not to read into it things that are not there. At the same time there is an abundance of ideas and issues that are not so obvious to the casual reader. I am not referring to what we might call "reading between the lines," where all sorts of concepts may be developed with little or no actual co ...

How Strong Is the Arab Claim to Palestine?

How Strong Is the Arab Claim to Palestine?

The Land of Israel is the only place on earth which God says He owns in terms of property ownership that can be transferred. (Of course, we know the whole world is His, yet this one parcel of land on the earth has a unique relationship to Him.) About Israel, He says, "The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine: for ...

Can I Be Jewish and Believe in Yeshua?

Can I Be Jewish and Believe in Yeshua?

If I believe in Maran Rabbeinu Yeshua as the Messiah, won’t I lose my Jewishness?  No you won’t! HaShem made you Jewish and no one can ever change that, regardless of what people say. You are still a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Besides, the real question is, "Is Maran Rabbeinu Yeshua the Jewish Messiah?" If he ...

Moshiach ben Yosef II

I think this is the year of Moshiach ben Yosef. In Rebbe Nachman’s story "The Master of Prayer," there are two main characters. The first is the Master of Prayer (בעל תפילה), who represents מלכות – that is Moshiach ben Dovid. The second is the Mighty ...
