The False Messiah Armilus (Video)

In later Jewish eschatology and legend, a king who will arise at the end of time against the Messiah, and will be conquered by him after having brought much distress upon Israel. Parasha Ve’zot Haberacha, Devarim 34 says “and the affliction of generation after generation, and the punishment of Armalgos the wicked…” In ancient Jewish literature, the Anti-Christ (Greek term) or False/Psuedo Messiah (Aramaic term) was called "Armilus". "Armilus (Hebrew: ארמילוס‎)" is a Hebrew version of "Romulus", put in future form, to indicate that he would rule from Rome. Targum Yonathan translates Isaiah / Yesha’yah 11:4 into Aramaic with the following paraphrase: "and with the speech of his lips he [Messiah] will slay the wicked Armilus. " In the Midrash Pirkei-Ha-Mashiach (8th century CE) the False Messiah is called,  "Satan Armilus, whom the Gentiles call Antichrist" It is interesting that main line judaism disagree with believers on the [...]

Is it Jewish to Believe in our Rabbi Yeshua HaMashiach?

Is it Jewish to Believe in our Rabbi Yeshua HaMashiach?

To some, the concept of a Jew believing in our Rabbi Yeshua seems to be a contradiction. The reason is, many people have a dichotomy set up in their minds. On the one hand, you have Jews and Judaism and on the other hand, Christians and Christianity. You are either one or the other…..so the thinking goes. But this simple dichotomy is in real ...

Messianic Judaism – We are not the "Jewish church"

For many Christians that are supportive of Messianic Jews and the work of Messianic synagogues they support us as the “Jewish church”. The “Jewish church” being defined as a Jewish cultural form of Christian faith. This can be seen in Hispanic, Korean, Filipino, Arab and other culturally sensitive forms of Christianity. Using the wording of ...

Jewish Roots of the Faith

The Shaliach (Emmisary) Shimon Kefa (Peter) and the Shaliach Shaul (Paul) are recognized as pivotal men in the establishing of Yeshua’s following. Interestingly, both men claimed at separate times that the Messiah Yeshua had not come to establish a new world religion, but rather had come to fulfill everything written in the prophetic writings ...

Do we want Mashiach now?

Do we want Mashiach now?

Ask someone coming out of Synagogue on a Shabbat, “Do you believe in God?” and the worshipper is shocked. “What type of question is that? Of course I do!” Then ask him, “Do you consider yourself religious?” and you’ll hear “Certainly. That’s why I’m here!” This is normal. These conve ...

Messianic Jewish Emuna: Disciples of Abraham

Messianic Jewish Emuna: Disciples of Abraham

Abraham did not need the scrolls of the Torah to tell him how to fulfill Hashem’s will. Generations before Mount Sinai, he was already living a Divinely directed life: “You hear My voice and keep My observances, My commandments, My laws and My Torah” (Bereishis 26:5). (Sefer Ahavas Chesed: Part III Chapter II Abrahams Way) “ ...

Real Messianic Judaism

This article is an attempt to express my thoughts on a “definition” of Messianic Judaism. As with many things, this “definition” requires that I explain what I believe Messianic Judaism is not before I tell you a little bit about what I think Messianic Judaism is. It is necessary that I say a word here about the “Messi ...

A Jew Lost in a Gentile World

Rabbi Maran Yeshua HaMashiach: A Nice Jewish Man Lost in a Gentile World! In speaking concerning Mashiach I have been told, STOP calling Him “Yeshua”, you make Him sound Jewish!  In fact many people have concluded that the Jewishness of our holy Rabbi Yeshua is an incidental detail or even untrue. For Religion or for God (Part #2)

Continuing from where we left off, I have a few Jewish friends who I believed to be true seekers of HaShem, but when I wiggled down to the root they were interested in nothing more than religion, they have no seasoning, not even salt in which to inspire others with they are but die bones. On my quest of conversion I found that Rabbi Yeshua truly is ...
