Tevunah: spreading forth of the light of Binah

Messianic Jewish Emuna: Tevunah – תבונה “Now, it is known that in Binah itself there are two levels; Binah and Tevunah. The matter of Tevunah is the aspect of the spreading forth of the light of Binah. (Shaar HaYichud, the Holy Rabbi Dov Ber of Lubavitch) The concept of Tevunah (תבונה ) is an essential element in the life of a believer of Maran Yeshua because it is the only way to spread the good news of redemption throughout the world. The term Binah (בינה ) means understanding or insight, which is obviously in reference to the understanding of Torah and Mashiach. Maran Yeshua gave us a very deep teaching regarding light and how we are to handle this sacred spiritual element. (Mattityahu/Matthew 5:14-17) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lamp stand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven”. Maran Yeshua has given us the earliest known teaching of Tevunah that is so simple that even a child can understand. True understanding of the Torah as interpreted by Mashiach, Maran Yeshua can clearly...

Yosef and the wealth of redemption

Yosef and the wealth of redemption

The writer of this article is not a believer in Maran Yeshua. Never the less his insights about Mashiach are well worth reading. HaShem gave to the Jewish people insight on His ways and how He truly operates, even if they may not understand it completely. We must remember that they are not rejecting Maran Yeshua the Rabbi, the Pharisee, the Zionis ...

Real Messianic Judaism

Real Messianic Judaism

This article is an attempt to express my thoughts on a “definition” of Messianic Judaism. As with many things, this “definition” requires that I explain what I believe Messianic Judaism is not before I tell you a little bit about what I think Messianic Judaism is. It is necessary that I say a word here about the “Mess ...

Techiyat HaMeitim – the Resurrection

Techiyat HaMeitim - the Resurrection

Techiyat hameitim means the resurrection of the dead. Rambam stated: "I believe with perfect faith that the dead will be brought back to life when God wills it to happen." (This is the 13th and last of Rambam's Principles of Faith) Is there no hope for the dead? Is our life simply finished -- over -- when we die? No, not at all. Notice t ...

Messianic Jewish Emuna: Essential love

Messianic Jewish Emuna: Essential love

As we have learned from the introduction to the Emuna series, love is essential in our relationship with God and each other as believers in the God of Israel and our Rabbi Yeshua the Messiah, because love is the fullness of the Torah (Romans 13:10). As witnesses of Yeshua and His redemptive work in our lives as new creations, we need to pursue lov ...

Belief in Mashiach Possibility or Certainty

Belief in Mashiach Possibility or Certainty

It depends on who Maran Rabbeinu Yeshua is! The Good News presents him as the Jewish Messiah (Yochanan 1:41,45, 49).  If he’s not the Jewish Messiah, then no one should believe in Him because His credentials as “Savior of the World” are based on His credentials as the “Messiah of Israel”. If he is the true Messia ...
