Programs

Education in the form of English Instruction is offered through Life School of English, a subsidiary of Beth HaDerech. The School offers low-cost classes for all English levels to newcomers to Canada including immigrants and refugees- and international students. Volunteers who are Canadian Native Speakers of English provide conversation practice for students in addition to formal classes. Food aid is offered in the form of donated items and Grocery coupons and Shelter aid is offered in the form of clothing and furniture-both new and used (as well as clothing and furniture store coupons).

Bet HaDerech’s mission is based on three pillars: Prayer, teachings and Missions. We want “to fan into flame the gift that is in the city” (I Timothy 1:6).

Assisting those in poverty, providing basic human needs (food, clothing, shelter, food pantries, soup kitchens, etc as well as enterprises that supply low-cost rental housing, clothing, furniture, and appliances to the poor etc.) to protect the welfare of children; provide counseling services for people in distress.

We might do many different kinds of work – from congregation-planting, foster or houseparent ministry, training cross cultural missions workers, literature publication; to disaster response, relief and development work.
