Mevaser = Proclaimer

Mevaser is the Hebrew word for Proclaimer. We can find such word for example in Yeshayahu 52:7, which states: “Mah navu al heharim raglei mevaser Mashmi’a shalom mevaser tov, mashmi’a yeshu’ah, omer leTzion malach Elokoyich.”
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings that announceth peace, the harbinger of good tidings, that announceth salvation; that saith unto Zion: ‘Your God reignet!’”
This verse starts the whole Messianic passage (Yeshayahu 52:7-53:12) which speaks to us concerning our loving God sending His Mashiach to us, and how He will be recognize eventually (because of His wounds as per Zecharya 12:10).
The Mevaser comes to proclaim the coming of Mashiach with force; the suffering servant is here, believe in him. How great of a News is this, listen to him, know him. His suffering is for your / our sake! (Chazal Say that Eliyahu is the Mevaser Hageulah. His is role restarts when he is ready to announce an imminent geulah.)
The work of the Mevaser in a very real sense is to part-take the work of God in bringing the final Ge’ula (redemption) to an end. HaShem has not rested till Mashiach is sitting in his trone in Jerusalem, when the Beit HaMikdash (Temple) is built. When the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, till Torah comes from Zion from the mouth of Mashiach.
To believe in the coming of the Mashiach is to part-take of God’s holy work. This belief is not a passive belief, but a very active one. The Talmud in Sanhedrin 97 says: “Rab said: All the predestined dates [for redemption] have passed, and the matter [now] depends only on repentance and good deeds.”
Why do we need to repent? We all have sinned and have fallen short from what HaShem expects of us. Also the good deeds that we need to do are to do the work of God. And one is to be a Mevaser, to proclaim Mashiach’s coming as he is. Mattityahu 28:18-20 (our Rabbi) Yeshua came to them and spoke to them, saying,… Therefore go, and make Talmidim / Disciples of all nations, … teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you (Proclaiming Mashiach’s Kingdom, living a Torah life).
