May 21, 2011… End of World Begins?

You have to love it. Here is another “Christian” group proclaiming that “the end of the world” begins on May 21, 2011. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought Yeshua said, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mat 24:36. Christ doesn’t even know when He is returning, yet we have these people giving us an exact date! That is impressive.
Since the world we live in is temporal, its end is inevitable. I mean, its like when we were born. Didn’t we start to die as soon as we were born? Mortal life isn’t eternal and no one can tell us the exact time, day or year we will die. However, in many instances due to bad health, a doctor may give an approximate time of death because of all the signs leading to the deterioration of the body. Many times people have proven the doctor wrong and have lived many more years. This is where God’s plan for each of us comes into account. No one has the ability to pinpoint a date and time of death unless of the obvious.
Seeing that we can’t predict our own time of death, there are Christian groups pinpointing the exact day of the rapture. “Beyond the shadow of a doubt, May 21 will be the date of the Rapture and the day of judgment,“ is what Mr. Camping, 89 years old states. He has people in an uproar going out around the world to prepare them for this day. People have done this in the past only to be proven wrong. Y2K didn’t go over like anyone thought. Man himself designed the technology and understood its inner core. Yet, the uproar proved wrong only to instill fear into people’s lives. Nonetheless, man tells us again when the day of rapture will be instilling more uproar and fear.
Just as a doctor predicts a person’s death due to the signs of deterioration in health, Yeshua predicts the end of the age before His return even though He doesn’t know the time or day. In Matthew 24, Yeshua gives us some signs to watch out for that indicate the deterioration of the age we live in. These signs summon us to know when His return is “at the door.” He tells us to keep watch and to always be prepared, not only for the rapture, but at all times because we don’t know when we will be called to eternity. Our world, or the world, can end at any moment and we need to be in good relationship with our Creator at all times in order to avoid God’s wrath upon the earth and eternal separation from Him.
It is important to understand that one generation will see ALL the signs of prophecy unfold before His return. It appears that this generation is in the midst of those signs. That doesn’t mean anyone can start giving any dates for the rapture. Actually, the rapture is not Christ’s return to earth anyway. It is the believer uniting with Christ in heaven. The second coming of Christ to the earth is after the seven year tribulation when He will rule the earth for 1,000 years. Nonetheless, the real indicator of knowing that the “end of time” is on the horizon is the fact of Israel becoming a nation again after about 2500 years in 1948. Again in Matthew 24:32, the lesson given of the fig tree indicates Israel blossoming again into a nation. It is this generation that shall not pass away until all the signs have unfolded. In other words, Israel had to become a nation again before Christ could return. The generation living after Israel’s rebirth will witness all the signs and ultimatley be part of the prophetic last days.
No, the "rapture" is not going to happen on May 21st, 2011. That nonsense is being taught by Bible illiterates who don’t realize that NOTHING major happens outside the Biblical Feasts!
Read more about the Rapture and its lies. Also, I am not a Michael Rood fan, but what he has to say about this, could not be said better. So here you go.

It appears that this generation is in the midst of many signs the Yeshua said would happen. The fig tree is getting stronger and growing. I wrote something before and I guess I must have offended someone but if it is not written in the Old or New testament do we have to believe? I will not. The Ten Commandments were written by the finger of the Almighty as it is written in exodus who has given authority to anybody to change them? The same is with prophetic events who is right? The word is right not my feelings, my dreams, my thought nor my opinion.
